Henry Wismayer (Irish Times – 21st July 2012) enjoyed his visit to Vis. He was amused to observe past Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic soaking up the “pomalo” atmosphere (Dalmatian version of manjana, manjana!) without any hassle from autograph hunters. Goran’s mother has a house on Vis and so he is a regular visitor.
He particularly enjoyed the eating – lobster at ‘Jastozera’, and bass and John Dory at ‘Vila Kaliopa’ – and therefore seemed happy to endorse Vis’ regular description as the gastronomic capital of the Adriatic.
